Why use PDF Editor on PDF NOVA

Everything in one place

Text, images, shapes, highlights, comments, links, whiteout and signatures share one workspace with undo/redo.

Files stay on your device

Processing happens in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to a server, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.

No sign-up, no watermark

Open the page and start working. Results are clean PDFs with no branding added.

Processing on your device

PDF Editor processes your file in your browser on your device. The file is not uploaded for processing. Download the result to keep a permanent copy. Your active PDF is saved locally in this browser for recovery across refreshes. Close Document removes it; recovery expires after 24 hours and is cleaned up when PDF NOVA next opens. Unsaved changes are not restored.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to install software?

No. The editor runs in modern browsers on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPad and Android tablets.

Can I edit the existing text in a PDF?

You can replace a line of existing text: the original line is covered with white and your new text is placed on top in a matching standard font. The original text stays in the file underneath, so use Redact PDF when content must be removed permanently.
