Why use PDF to Word on PDF NOVA
Editable text, not text boxes
Lines are joined into flowing paragraphs, with headings, bullet lists, bold and italic text rebuilt as Word formatting.
Files stay on your device
Processing happens in your browser. Your document is never uploaded to a server, so there is nothing to delete afterwards.
Works with Word and Google Docs
The DOCX output opens in Microsoft Word, LibreOffice, Pages and Google Docs.
How your files are handled
The in-browser converter processes your PDF on your device without uploading it. If the optional cloud engine is available and you choose it, your file is sent to the configured conversion provider, which has its own retention terms.

Frequently asked questions
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. This tool runs entirely in your web browser using JavaScript and Web Workers. The file is read from your device, processed in memory and saved back to your device.
Will the Word file look exactly like the PDF?
The text, headings, lists, bold/italic styling and images are kept. Tables, text colours, multi-column layouts and exact positions are not reproduced by the in-browser converter; the text flows as normal Word paragraphs instead.
Can I convert a scanned PDF to Word?
Scanned PDFs contain pictures of text. Run OCR PDF first so the text is recognised, then convert the result to Word.
