Unsaved changes are not restored.

Frequently asked questions
Can every PDF be edited?
PDFs created from text (for example exported from Word) have detectable paragraphs you can edit or move. Scanned PDFs contain images of text — run OCR first, or use whiteout and Add Text.
Is the old text removed?
No — editing covers the original text in the page colour and places your text on top, so the page looks updated but the original text is still in the file (it can be selected or extracted). Use Redact PDF to remove content permanently.
